Today two opposed groups within Poland have crossed paths in the streets of Warsaw.

On one side are those who support the commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law by the communist government to show their support of the governmental  Law and Justice.

Not far from there, thousands of Poles have protested against the authoritarian drift of Law and Justice. The Government members have used the roll of its parliamentary majority to, among other things, paralyze the Constitutional Court and control the public media protesters stated.

“Today the authorities attack us, take away our freedoms as they did 35 years ago,” Mateusz Kijowski, made that statement who is the head of “Committee for the Defense of Democracy” that made today protest rally a reality.
