Vincent Viola, Wall Street’s billionaire and owner of the Florida Panthers hockey team, was selected by President Donald Trump to serve as his Secretary of the Army, but on Friday night he withdrew his nomination, Bloomberg reported.

President of the Florida Panthers as well a CEO Matthew Caldwell confirmed reports following the team’s 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night but did not offer any further comments to the Trump Nomination.

The report, citing two Trump administration officials and a third unnamed person “familiar with Viola’s decision,” said that Viola rejected the nomination because he is too caught up in his many businesses. Viola has a majority stake with “Eastern Air Lines”.

The New York Times reported that Viola is trying to change his ownership of Eastern for a partial stake in Swift Airlines, Swift Air is a charter airline which has millions of dollars in Federal Government sub-contracts, is there a connection here?.
