A teenage girl killed and her mother was injured in a triple shooting at a home in Ellicott City on Sunday morning, Said police.
Charlotte Zaremba – 16 year was brutally killed and her mother was injured when she went to investigate her daughter’s room after hearing a ‘ Scuffle’.
A boy in the room shot at the mother and then the girl and lastly to himself, says Police.
According to the police a 15 year old boy is the suspect, who was found in the home with a self-inflicted gunshot wounded his head. On Sunday evening the he was in a critical condition and was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
A Teenage Girl Killed in New Year’s Shooting:
The officers received the reports of the situation at the home about 2 a.m and found the girl, from where she was taken to the Howard County General Hospital, and was declared dead.
Charlotte’s mother was also taken to the Shock Trauma and was released, later. Whereas, the other family member who was in the home is safe and sound.
Police did not revealed the identity of the 15 year old suspect and stated that it is yet not clear if he had any connections with the girl. The motive for behind the killing is not also unclear. In addition to that there is no indication, whether anyone else was involved or not.
Kieran, Charlotte’s friend said in a statement that:
It’s crazy how many people feel close to her even if they didn’t know her that well,” said Kieran, a 15-year-old student at Mount Hebron High School. “She had this knack for being trustworthy. People felt like they could talk to her.

The Police investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information for police is asked to call.
- The shoot took place in Ellicott City, which is located at the west of Baltimore
- Suzanne Zaremba, 52(the mother), heard a scuffle in Charlotte’s bedroom.
- When Zaremba went inside her daughter’s bedroom, she saw the 15-year-old gunman, who attacked her as well.
- He first fired at Suzanne, then killed her daughter, Charlotte Zaremba, and lastly turned the gun on himself.
