WASHINGTON – The MEMO sparks President Donald Trump on Friday accusing the FBI and the Justice Department of doing politics “in favor of the Democrats and against the Republicans.”

“The Conduct and Investigators of the FBI and the Department of Justice have politicised the sacred investigative process in favour of Democrats and against Republicans – something that would have been unthinkable a short time ago.” The president tweeted.

White House officials said Trump would allow the release of a confidential memo prepared by the Republicans of the Senate intelligence commission, which accuses the FBI of abusive surveillance tactics when investigating Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

The Justice Department, whose senior management was appointed by Trump, urged not to disseminate the memo because it could affect national security, and the FBI expressed its “serious concerns” about the lack of accuracy of the memo.
